..I've been not feeling well since Tuesday night. I didn't expect to get sick at all. I felt completely fine on Tuesday. I guess I worked harder than I thought I did. It's not because of something I ate, because I'm on a healthy lifestyle now. I'm feeling a bit better now. Better as in, I allowed myself on the computer again. I had the fever, stomach ache and I couldn't eat anything. But I just think it's time for me to rest. And not just taking a nap here and there, but really take time to only think about my physical and emotional health. Which is not worrying about things I have to do and whatever is on my mind. My vacation to Australia (next week already!) has a perfect timing. You know those days when you say to yourself you're having 'me-time' and spending a quiet day at home. But really, you're checking your e-mail all day long, thinking about what needs to be done on Monday and what people you need to contact about whatever. I am going to leave this work-mode at home when I get on that plane on Wednesday night. Like I said, I won't be MIA for a month, I'll still be publishing outfit posts and editorials (+ photo diaries of Australia!). But I have to be content of the fact that I won't be able to answer or even read all the e-mails I get in my mailbox. My photographer Charlotte, will be responsible for answering all the e-mails in November. So make sure you direct your mail to Charlotte instead of me. Today I'm just resting some more and staying in bed all day long. In a way I'm glad I'm sick now, and not when I was to leave for Australia..
..An update on my work-out. I met up with my personal trainer Kim from Tight Training to evaluate how much weight I lost and how I'm doing. Because my goal was to have a flat tummy before I went on vacation. Never would I have thought that a simple healthy lifestyle and basic exercises at home would come to an end result like this. You may not believe it but in the last 2,5 months I've lost over 7 kilos. I've never been active my entire life, so if I can do it, anybody can do it.. I've never been to the gym before, all I did was basic exercises at home and keeping a healthy lifestyle. And I wasn't event doing hours and hours of working out. Sometimes only fifteen minutes a day! I went from 61.1 kilos to 53.9 kilos. I'm now in a place where I'd like to stay forever. I used to always weigh between 50 and 53 kilos, but somehow the last year I've gained some weight because of little exercise. I've learned so much the last two months. Not only have I gained a healthy lifestyle, but I've learned to keep my boundaries on other aspects in life as well. Thank you Kim for showing me other sides of life and for never putting too much on my plate!..
